# Getting Started with Dash360

> An introduction to Dash360: your enterprise project management platform for cost estimating, earned value management, scheduling, and reporting.

Dash360 is an enterprise project management platform for organizations that need rigorous control over project costs, schedules, and performance. It supports the full project lifecycle; from initial cost estimation through earned value analysis, schedule management, risk tracking, and executive reporting.

## Logging In

Navigate to your organization's Dash360 URL and log in with your credentials. Contact your system administrator if you do not have an account.

## What's in Dash360

Dash360 is organized into functional areas, accessible from the left navigation menu:

| Area | What You Can Do |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Estimating** | Build detailed cost estimates with labor, non-labor, travel, and risk factors |
| **Earned Value** | Measure project performance against plan using EVM metrics (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI) |
| **Reporting** | Generate reports across cost, schedule, and performance data |
| **Schedule** | Manage project schedules with a full Gantt chart interface |
| **Risk** | Track project risks, mitigation plans, and contingency exposure |
| **Admin** | Configure projects, users, resources, codes, and system settings |

## Selecting a Project

Most views in Dash360 are project-specific. Use the **project selector** in the left navigation panel to choose the project you want to work on. Once a project is selected, it persists as you navigate between areas.

Some pages (such as Earned Value Curves) also require a **reporting period** to be selected before data loads. Look for a second inline filter below the project selector on those pages.

## User Roles and Access

Dash360 has two main account types:

**Administrators** have full access to all areas, all projects, and all system configuration. If something isn't working, your administrator can investigate.

**CAM (Control Account Manager) accounts** have access configured by an administrator:

* **Module access**: Which areas they can see (Estimating, Schedule, Risk, etc.)
* **Project access**: Which projects they can view
* **Access level**: Either **Full Access** (can add, edit, delete) or **Read-Only** (can view only)

If you cannot see a page or feature you expect to have access to, contact your administrator to review your account permissions.

## Navigating Dash360

Use the left navigation menu to move between areas. Within each area, pages are typically organized around a selected project. The general workflow for most pages is:

1. Select a project from the project selector
2. Select any additional filters (reporting period, WBS, etc.)
3. View or edit data for that project

## Getting Help

Use the navigation on the left to find documentation for any feature. If you need additional assistance, contact your Dash360 administrator or support team.
